Director Jason Guy is now approaching his third season as manager of Warstones Wanderers Football Club. Jason started training his particular age group when some of them were just 5 years of age.
In their first season they won the Merit Shield and came runners up in the league. Following promotion their second season has been more of a challenge but the players have enjoyed it nevertheless.
Warstones Wanderers are now looking for more players for their under 9s team for next season and train at Windsor playing fields Penn on a saturday morning and highfields schools on a Wednesday evening. Any interested parents should contact Jason on 01902 823123.
Director Scores for Childrens Charity
People Plus Director Jason Guy is taking part in a charity football event aiming to raise funds for children with juvenile diabetes. The charity 'field of dreams' branded as 'football aid' raises thousands of pounds each year for charity and was set up by founder Craig Paterson after his son was diagnosed with diabetes.
The charity raises the awareness of the illness and gives lucky bidders to play a charity match at various football grounds across the country. Last year Jason played at Aston Villa and the year before at Wolverhampton Wanderers, this year the event Jason has chosen will be at Birmingham City FC.
Jason comments 'It's a great idea and gives the chances for football supporters to live their dreams whilst raising money for an extremely worthwhile charity, these events have raised thousands of pounds over the years which makes a significant difference to peoples lives'.
