Mrs Z had recently recovered from illness and wanted to get back into primary school teaching within her local area. Although Mrs Z had 20 years teaching experience she was not familiar with supply work and was so impressed with the good name of First Resourcing she registered her details and selected schools that she would like them to target. Mrs Z was surprised when she was offered 2 days supply work so quickly, this then led to 2 full terms in which she taught 3 different year groups. Mrs Z commented 'First Resourcing really looked after me, they spent time with me explaining the process and I even got wine and chocolates at christmas, I would recommend any teacher to register for supply work with First Resourcing.'
Miss X registered with First Resourcing after her friend who is also a teacher took advantage of the recommend-a-friend scheme. Miss X was registered with other agencies but they kept offering her schools which were not suited to her abilities and immediate needs. As Miss X was an NQT she did not want a challenging school and spoke openly to First Resourcing so they did not make the same mistakes as other supply agencies. Miss X sat down with Luke and Jason over a cup of coffee and biscuits and after a few calls an interview was arranged at a local school. The headmaster was so impressed Miss X started the following week, completed her validation through the agency for one year before being taken on. Miss X explains 'I now feel more confident and that is through the personal approach from First Resourcing. Luke and Jason matched schools to my needs and I am now teaching classes which I thought I would never be able to handle.'
Mr A had recently finished a long term booking with another supply agency and was upset to find that they had no further work for him and after 3 weeks without teaching he registered with First Resourcing who he had come accross whilst working at a school. First Resourcing assured him that although they could never guarantee work they would endeavour to match schools to his needs and vice versa and if at all possible offer him regular work and aim to keep him within the same schools to encourage continuity. Mr A says 'Luke and Jason keep in touch with me on an almost daily basis and the work I get offered is always suitable. They fully explain to me of the schools requirements with important details such as if I need to plan lessons etc and on one occassion when my car broke down they drove me to the school and found out the bus numbers for me to get back.'
